DC’s Advisory Neighborhood Commissions are non-partisan, neighborhood bodies each made up of locally elected representatives called Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners. The main job of the ANCs is to be their neighborhood's official voice. They advise the District government (and federal agencies) on matters that affect their neighborhoods.
